Absentee Line Coordinator

Summary:

The Absentee Line provides a vital Health and Safety function for the school to ensure the safety of each student. 

The Absentee Line Coordinator assists the administrative staff in verifying the absence of students whose parents have not notified the school of their child’s absence or tardiness. 

The AL Coordinator recruits and organizes a team of volunteers who work daily shifts  to perform the following duties: 1) retrieve voice messages from parents who call in their child’s absence; 2) check that list of messages against the school’s attendance records to determine which absent students have not been accounted for; 3) submit the names of any unaccounted for children to the school secretary, who attempts to contact parents using the school’s automated ConnectEd system; 4) call any parents who cannot be reached by ConnectEd.
