Staff Appreciation/Hospitality

Summary:

To put together two lunches for the teachers and staff at Neil Cummins (approx. 100 people) honoring them, a Holiday and Staff Appreciation Luncheon. Usually the lunches include deciding on a theme, decorating, purchasing or renting supplies (plates/cups/napkins), purchasing and/or making lunch and desserts. Also, a memo/invitation is usually sent out a week prior to each event.

Calendar of Responsibilities:

For both activities, need to reserve the staff lounge, order extra garbage cans and sometimes an extra table. Usually recruit PTA Board members and others to help with set-up, serving and clean-up.

November/December

The Holiday Lunch is usually in the beginning of December.

April/May

Staff Appreciation lunch is in early May (to coincide with Teacher Appreciation Week).

Works with:

• PTA Board and Principal in deciding on the dates for the school year.
  
• Work with VP2 - Outreach, in working within the hospitality budget set by the PTA.
